What is BarberCo-op?
BarberCo-op is a membership network for independent barbers and barbershops. Members get a professional website, a place in their city's barber directory, embedded booking and shared marketing tools for one monthly price. It works like a shared marketing department for barbers who work for themselves.
Do I have to switch booking apps?
No. Keep the booking app you already use. Your BarberCo-op website and directory profile embed or link to your existing booking page, so your calendar, clients and payments stay where they are. BarberCo-op handles your website, directory profile and marketing, and leaves scheduling to the app you already use.
What does the $39 Barber Membership include?
Your website and booking. You get a professional site on your own BarberCo-op subdomain with your services, prices, portfolio and embedded booking, custom domain support, an enhanced directory profile, and a review request link with a printable QR card. Website visit and booking-click stats are rolling out.
What does Premium add for $99 a month?
Premium adds the marketing department on top of everything in Barber Member: local SEO setup, a Google Business Profile toolkit and a caption and content studio at launch, followed by campaign templates, rebooking reminders, referral offers, client notes, a loyalty program and a full analytics dashboard as they roll out.
I run a shop with several barbers. Which plan fits?
Shops get one shared website with a profile and booking link for every barber, plus a shop listing in the directory. Because shops vary in size, we quote shop pricing based on how many chairs you have. Pick the shop option on the join form and we will get back to you with a price.
Is the free listing really free?
Yes. Any independent barber or shop can claim and verify a basic directory profile with their name, location, services and a link to their existing booking page for $0. You don't need a card. You can upgrade to Barber Member for a full website and booking, or Premium for marketing tools, whenever you want.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Every member website starts on a subdomain like yourname.barberco-op.com, and every paid member can connect a domain they own. Domain registration itself is billed by your registrar. If you would rather we handle the DNS setup for you, assisted setup is available for a one-time fee.
Is BarberCo-op a cooperative?
Not yet. Today BarberCo-op is a membership network run by its founders. A genuine cooperative means member ownership, voting and shared economic benefit, which requires a formal legal structure. We plan to evaluate cooperative ownership with our founding members once the network is established, and we won't call it member-owned until it is.
Where is BarberCo-op available?
BarberCo-op is built for independent barbers anywhere in the United States. Any barber or shop can claim a free listing and join as a member. We open a city directory page once enough local barbers have verified listings to make it useful to clients.
